PBT stands for Polybutylene Terephthalate in textiles, a high-performance thermoplastic polyester fiber known for its excellent stretch, comfort, and, most notably, high chlorine resistance. It is frequently used in swimwear, sportswear, and activewear because it maintains its shape and color better than conventional materials like Elastane or Nylon.
